Apple ordered to pay over $19 billion in European back taxes

Amazon and McDonalds are next under the gun for unpaid tax in Europe, after the European Commission stunned Apple with a €13 billion ($A19.15 billion) bill for back taxes. The Commission concluded that Apple had avoided paying almost all tax on hundreds of millions of euros in profits in Europe over the last decade.
